Sorry if this has been discussed, I searched and found nobody who had described a problem like mine.
Anyway, I am having a problem with SVCDs and TMPGenc. When there is no motion on the screen, it looks perfect. But once something starts moving, I get a strange horizontal distortion around the object that is moving. The faster the object is moving against the static background (or the faster the camera is panning), the worse the distortion is. It's really hard to describe. I've also tried taking a picture of the screen but it looks wrong.
If I pause the player, the lines go away. (apex 1500)
I'm using the template in TMP and going off the guidelines on this site... CBR 2520, high quality motion search precision... etc. I don't think it's a problem with my player because the distortion (I just noticed) is visible in the preview window of TMPGenc.
***UPDATE***
I tried to figure out how to delete this but I could not.
I changed the source to "Interlaced" and it works fine.
If any moderator wants to delete this post, that would be great. Thanks.
