need help regarding dvd clips

Hi,
I am editing a movie using windows movie maker.
I would like to capture and upload a specific dvd clip from a movie and copy/paste it into one of my own clips/scenes, taken by my Canon Powershot camera.
Could someone please explain to me how to accomplish this?

Try freemake video converter, click on the dvd to open the dvd, cut out the clip, save as avi, import in wmm.

If it's a commercial dvd you must rip it to the hdd with dvdfab decrypter first...or install anydvd and it will rip in the background.
