  1. Hi, I am looking for a little help

I already have some experience in synchronizing subtitles for avi and mkv files, but now I'm having difficulties.

I am attempting to add a Port-BR subtitle in a DVD multi-episodes. After ripping all files, each episode generated a muxed mpeg, now I want to re-author them with DVD-Lab, but need to know if the subtitles are synchronized. I worked with several releases of subs I found on the web (srt), all were splitted by episode and had the same frame rate (25fps) of the movie.

After I make sure that all were out of sync I loaded them in Subtitle Workshop and tried to sync by adjusting the initial and final lines time. Although the beginning and the end of the movie have been ok, the other parts sucks.

I also tested the subs with Media Player Classic and none worked, all of them got out of sync.

I wonder if it's because the film is a mpeg.
I wonder if the subtitles should be specific to each type of file, avi for avi, mpeg for mpeg.

I'd like to understand it better... if someone could clarify.

Finally, is there a practical way to synchronize these subs?

I've lost hours on this, any hint is welcome

    Thank u all

  2. Hi anybody!

Ok, I will try to be objective:

All subtitles I got on the internet do not synchronize with my corresponding mpeg clips (same frame rate) that I extracted from a DVD.

In an attempt to adjust them in Subtitle Workshop I can only sync the movie ends, the rest is out of sync

    Pleeease, what is wrong?
