    Hi, I wonder if there is any way to tweak Avidemux so that it can display extended characters, if that is the correct term, (in my case Swedish), when using it to add permanent subtitles to an avi.

    I enlose a screenshot of how it looks now, with what looks to me like Arabic characters substituted for ÅÄÖåäö.
    Typeface is standard Windows Arial.

  2. in the subtitler options change the encoding from arabic to something else, like utf-8 or latin-1 . Select an option that looks correct in the preview
