  1. So I bought some unknown (to me anyway, no matches on model searches here or much anywhere else for that matter) at Cosco, for $80 (!). As a side note, this is my first dvd player (non-computer)

The dvd player is from KLH Digital (never heard of it) model number dvd-8350. Searching the net, yields a KLH speakers company (logo seems to be the same) and searching by model number yeilds a totally different manufacturer (mintek digital, the player pictured is almost identical but not quite)

The player can (according to the description and the manual anyway) play 12 cm/8 cm dvds, vcds, cds, cd-rs, cd-rws, mp3s, and kodak picture cds. Not too shabby. Preliminary testing showed that it will play a vcd 2.0 cd-r disk (actually my first time making a vcd from a divx), and play a cd full of mp3's with deep nested folders without any qualms.

Wondering at this point what I should test next...I have no way of testing any types of dvd recordable media though.

Has anyone heard of this player at all? :p
