I am anush bekal from India. I use vlc-0.8.6d version. I am working on a project to stream a live video. I have gone through the documents very clearly

I am trying to take a video from a video-dvd player and want it to play it on the remote machine using the embedded vlc code in HTML.My video keeps hanging every now n then.it plays for 3 seconds & then permanently hangs up. i use Mozilla Firefox browser & the plug-in has been correctly installed
both these machines use wireless devices & are in AD HOC mode. my video quality from the dvd player input is 756x480 resolution. So what are the settings needed to change before trying it to access it on the remote machine??? Does vlc has the ability to reduce the frame rate before streaming on to the network?
please help me.
