Rotolight, accessory shoe extension?

Hello all,

I recently purchased a Rotolight Interview lighting Kit and I am very impressed with it. I am wondering if there is any body out there using this kit with a kind of accessory shoe extension like the one in this short video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnfrHdgWdIo

It would be great to have a more flexible way of putting the lights on top of my camera (via the accessory shoe).

Hi there, very glad to hear you've been very impressed with your Rotolight Interview Kit!!

As for mounting via the accessory shoe, the Interview Kit includes two 'Rotolight Stands' that allow you to mount the Rotolight to any Accessory/Hot Shoe and that was how it was mounted to the camera in the Video you posted below.

The Bottom of the two provided Rotolight Stands also has a 1/4 inch (20 Whitworth) thread so you can mount this to any thread of this size, or alternatively you can get a thread converter to 3/8 or 5/8 to mount to any other tripod or lighting stand. Manfrotto make a nice one which retails for just £8.

Alternatively, if its extra height and 360 Swivel action your looking for, then there are some other great third party products such as this again, less than £10 -
