Hi, first post here in these forums just wondering if anyone could help me...

I used to use Super Encoder for all my conversion needs, since it could convert anything to anything, but now that I got a x64 machine I can't seem to make it work. Is there a similar converter (all in one) that works in Windows x64? Or even better, is there a way to use Super in a x64 machine?

You might try XMedia Recode, or Avanti. I haven't had any problems running those on my x64 Vista setup, really. Other ffmpeg and mencoder front ends should also work.

XVid4PSP may also work, but I've never had much luck with it, personally (though that has nothing to do with trying to get it to run on an x64 system). Are you sure you can't get SUPER to work? It's supposed to work on an x64 setup, although I'll admit I haven't tried it nor have any plans to do so. When you were installing it, did you right-click on the installer and select the Run as Administrator option? Have you tried setting the Run as Admin and compatibility-mode options in the SUPER shortcut/Start Menu selection?

  3. I've run Xvid4Psp on a Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit computer. Although it was installed on shared drive on a 32 bit XP system. Win7 accesses that drive mapped as drive G:.

... I just tried XMedia Recode, and it's great! It's way better than Super; at least it has more options and it looks sleeker. It seemed faster too, but that's probably because of my new PC and not the program itself. Thanks for the suggestion, guess I don't really mind Super not working now
