Is it possible to rip and trim a dvd video without loosing any quality so I can upload it as good as possible to youtube?
I've read http://www.dvd-guides.com/guides/dvdrip/242-dvd-to-youtube-free.
I couldn't be sure if this will guarantee the best quality.
Also do I need to mind about deinterlacing the video?

there's a few mpeg editors that don't re-encode...check the tools dept
keep in mind:
if it's not your footage, they just remove it
if it's not your music, they just mute itLast edited by zoobie; 6th Feb 2011 at 09:27.

With that guide that those tools, what you will end up with ON YOUR COMPUTER will not have any quality loss. MPEG2(which is what DVDs are) is still pretty big as far as file sizes go....so if you are willing to upload several hundred megabytes or more to YouTube.....this is your guide.
However most people nowadays upload H264 video with AAC or AC3 audio to YouTube because the quality is VERY good and the file sizes compared to the same MPEG2 file are pretty drastic(the MPEG2 files are huge).
If you plan on uploading anything other than MPEG2....then that guide is a waste of time.
