Hi, I would like to know how to upgrade the firmware of the Samsung MM-DG25.

I took a look and I did not see any available firmware at all at the Samsung website for this model. Samsung often discourages consumers from doing their own firmware upgrades by not making them available at the official website.
May I ask why you wish to do this? You need to know that if you think that this is going to make this player multi-region that there is almost no chance of that working. In general Samsung DVD and BluRay players are region locked and cannot be made region free. I am not aware of any current models sold in the USA and Canada that can be unlocked. Finally, applying firmwares released in other parts of the world can brick your player, so you accept any risk if you try that. -
Dear colleague:
First of all, thank you for your comments.
I would like to share with you my point of view in order to know your opinion about it. The premise of my idea is that some time ago I found in this forum the region code hack for the Samsung MM-DG25. I saw that entering some numbers on the remote allows seeing DVDs from all regions.
The problem I am having now is different, the video output signal of my Samsung MM-DG25 is PAL B/G and I would like to change it to NTSC. The SETUP of the Samsung MM-DG25 does not include this possibility, regarding the video output it is only possible to select between I-Scan and P-Scan, nothing else.
It is hard to believe to me that Samsung change the hardware components of the Samsung MM-DG25 depending on the TV system of the country-market. I would think that the video output (NTSC, PAL B/G, PAL I, PAL D/K, etc) of the Samsung MM-DG25 might be selected via software (using perhaps some code on the remote). What I am trying to investigate is if this is possible. What do you think about it?
I thought that one solution might be perhaps installing a new firmware (including this option) or a firmware coming from a country with NTSC TV system.
Thanks in advance for your new comments and your help.
Best regards. -
Actually Samsung is rather notorious for its poor support of multiple TV systems. In the USA and Canada as far as I know their players only support NTSC. Their TVs (I have one) do not support PAL at all in the USA and Canada. I agree that from a cost standpoint it does not seem to make sense to have different hardware on the same model as sold in different parts of the world, but it does seem to be exactly what they do. If you are able to find an NTSC firmware for your player there is a good chance it will break the player.

Thank you for your appreciations.
I would like to say you that my former comment was based on the following fact: some time ago (I do not know how and why) I got colors from the Samsung MM-DG25, I remember that some day I put a flash memory in the player and turn it ON. To my surprise, I saw the blue screen of Samsung. After that (that same day) I saw pictures and videos in color. It is very important to note that the TV I was using was a Philips with only NTSC TV system (no a multiple system TV, just NTSC). In that time I looked immediately at the setup settings and they looked the same that now. A very curious thing I realized also that day was that when I tried to reproduce in the player and original DVD from Spain (a PAL DVD), the player said “wrong region code” or something like that. As I informed to you the Samsung MM-DG25 was bought at Spain. I have checked (using a TV PCI Card installed in my PC) that colors are only present in the following TV systems PAL B/G, PAL I and PAL D/K. As you know, Spain uses the PAL B/G system.
My permanent question is why I got colours in that occasion if the Samsung MM-DG25 reproduces (according to the acquisition market) in PAL B/G and I was using a NTSC TV. According to this is my suspect that perhaps Samsung changes software and not hardware for the different markets.
