  1. Hello,

So I'm working with a local non-profit/activist group, and we plan to distribute copies of a DVD from the national group. The DVD they sent us though is pretty short (only about 20 minutes), so there's plenty of room to add more stuff. So I'd like to know if it would be feasible to add another video track to the compilation without having to totally re-render or reprocess the original.

I've got the original DVD copied to my computer, and everything's in a "video_ts" folder. The original already has a menu and everything.

The track I want to add is a 720p "HD" MP4 downloaded from YouTube, which I guess would have to be re-rendered to DVD format...

So please let me know if this would be possible, and how to go about doing it. Perhaps there could be a menu with two choices - one to go to the original DVD menu and one to go to the added clip? And what software tools would you guys recommend for doing this?

My computers run both Linux and Windows XP.

    Thanks everyone!

Convert the mp4 to dvd with for example dvd flick, avstodvd, etc. Use DVDRemake Pro to join both if you want to keep the original menus.

If you want free tools it wont be that easy if you want to keep the original menus.
