  1. Hi folks, I often am in a situation where I have 2 videos in different languages and I want to copy the audio track from one video to the other. However I often need to recut the video because the scenes are not in the same chronological order. I need to visually see the video track, otherwise it's difficult to find the right parts of the audio to align without seeing the video.

    Can you please recommend a tool which meets the following requirements of mine?

    * min. 2 video tracks
    * min. 2 audio tracks
    * continuous thumbnails in video track to facilitate finding the right points for cutting (see: https://www.videohelp.com/toolsimages/editstudio_310.jpg )
    * audio track must display waveform
    * splitting must be possible in timeline view
    * must accept common video files: mkv, avi, mp4, wmv, etc.

    I doubt there is a freeware program which can do all that, so payware suggestions are welcome.
    Thank you.

  3. Thank you.
    Problem is, Vegas requires XP SP3 while I am on XP SP2. Installation fails.
    I will eventually update to Win7, but I cannot do this at the moment for various reasons (I currently depend on programs which won't run on higher OS), so is there anything else you could recommend to me in the meanwhile? thank you so much.

  4. I also wouldn't mind using an older software version (than currently available), provided it meets the requirements. Is there no alternative to Vegas?

    Why not install SP3 ?
