    Hi all,
Purchased the BlackMagic Intensity Shuttle over the last week and did all the necessary research/pc-component additions to fully support the card.
    Details of syst:
    C2Quad 2.66GHz (No HT)
    4GB DDR3
    1 x SATA 80GB(System/Windows install) on GSATA BUS/Controller
4 x SATA 250GB in RAID5 (Write caching set for performance) on a completely seperate controller/bus - used exclusively by Shuttle.
    Disk Speed Test gives:
Data Read Rate in MB/s: 288.1
Data Write Rate in MB/s: 154.8
Capture works very well - system completely stable and usuable during capture.
Captures come out looking great except for the banding/contrast issue. Monitoring on PC is smooth and works well (except for banding/contrast issue), and pass through to HDMI out on the shuttle works as well (hooking into the same LCD monitor but on the HDMI in) , of course it also has the banding/contrast issue.
Current mode is 720p 59.94 using AVI 8b YUV.
Well within what my setup is capable of when validating Disk Speed Test.
    Current Video Capture Setup:
PS3 AV Multiout > Official Sony PS3 Component Cable > Shuttle component and audio in.
Currently experiencing scrolling banding as well as a lack of contrast to the image
    Reds look like brown/orange.
I've posted a demonstration video on youtube of the issue:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alby3SwwD3g

    i've noticed:
1)extra banding appears during certain levels/tones of audio during the video
2)banding sometimes doesnt appear during dark scenes (menu/loading screens at times)
3)lack of contrast seems to be throughout - may quite possibly be an effect of the same issue causing the banding
4)unplugging audio (L+R) has no effect in fixing the issue.
I have not tested the component cable on another device yet - it is my next step. i will be connecting it to my Sony Bravia XBR4 to test. this should rule out the cable / source(ps3) if it works properly. I may also go and pickup a miniHDMI > HDMI and test with using my Canon 7D direct feed port.
Any idea what the problem is?

Classic. Why did "they" insist on a red port for component after it was used for stereo RCA audio? Lately I've taken to putting black electrical tape on the bottom half of Pr connectors.
