DVDx and Ligos LSX plugin

I've been playing around with LSX plugin recently and found the output utterly crap (DVD to VCD PAL). There's not many options to play with in the plugin so it looks like the quality cannot really be influenced. I've heard that LSX, while being great for SVCD/MPEG2 jobs, really sucks at bitrates lower than 1500. Judging from the output I had it does. Anybody played around with DVDx + LSX combo? What's your opinion?

LSX Encoder sucks no matter how you set it up, why use it as a combo with DVDx, just use DVDx buildin encoder, even that is better then LSX!, sure LSX might be faster then most encoders, but it's also got the lowest quality I have ever seen.

And i'm a guy who likes VCD, so if I say it's pathetic quality, then it's REALLY bad!
