  1. Im trying to Rip a region 1 dvd, The Green Mile.
Im using Smart Ripper, Dvd2Avi and TMPGEnc.
The first to parts go fine its when i get to making the vcds that the trouble starts.
There seems to be no audio even though the file is there and is working, its only when i try to make the vcd that there seem s to be no audio.

Ive ripped Dvds before and they have worked fine but they have been region 2.
Is there anything im missing out???

    Can anybody help with this??

    Cheers, Echoes............................................ ..........

  3. Its the correct audio track and when i open it with winamp it plays fine.
Its only whe i try and use it to make the vcd that it doesnt work.

When doind the frames bit there is no audio trace its just a flat line.

I ripped a region 2 disk and it was fine.

They are both the same format so i dont have clue whats wrong.

  4. i had same problem with titanic and other really long movies (3+ hrs)....the reason is that media player and tmpgenc can't handle .wav files that are too big.

i bet if you play the .wav file from green mile on media player, it won't play.

what i did was to split the .vob files into 2 sections and treated them as two separate movies.....encode both and combine later if needed...or just put them on separate discs...
