  1. OK, I'm new to this so don't flame me...

I "found" a copy of Shrek that I downloaded. It was titled "Shrek-DVD-RIP-SUPER-HIGH-QUALITY-NO-SUBS.avi" and it was 719MB in size. After I downloaded it (It was the whole movie) I burned it to a disc. When I watched it, I was amazed, it was DVD quality! I showed all my friends, they were all amazed!

What kind of conversion do I have? I will use this tool if I found out that technique was used.

    Thanks,

    Please help

  3. FLIK55... the avi you found is most likely encoded with SBC. i do all my dvd rips that way. use either nandub or gordon knot to do your encodes.

i can make a 2hr movie EXACTLY 700MB to fit on an 80min at the highest quality i feel i can produce... currently.

i must say it is a very lengthy proccess. there is no easy way to do these encodes. i, myself am still in the perfecting proccess after at least a full year of practice and over 100 videos. all im saying is beware!

    NANDUB: http://www.doom9.org/divx-encoding.htm
    GORDIANKNOT: http://www.doom9.org/gknot-main2.htm

go here and also scan through the forums and see how you do.

    GL seriously! GL!!!
    later bater. deltaboy
