    What is the resolution of DVD widescreen?

    It will be the same as any other DVD: 720x480/576. The aspect ratio is determined by the display aspect ratio field, which is set in the MPEG header, not the resolution.

    Same as regular DVD, if you want to create a VCD or SVCD as Wide Screen, then simply do the appropriate changes in TMPGEnc.
