My VHS player went down and I would like to copy some of the movies I had purchased over the years to DVD.
I borrowed a friends Magnavox VHS to DVD recorder player and almost all the movies come up saying they are copy protected and not letting me copy my own tape. is there any way to do this with this machine or am I just SOL

Google "Macrovision" to find out what you are up against....then start searching for used DVDs of these movies you have.....it will be cheaper and look much better.
