That's like saying: I going to buy a car but don't know which one to choose.

TreeTops was not implying that they're all the same. You have to identify your specific needs and preferences for a camcorder (just like choosing a car). You also need to consider whether you want to edit the footage (some formats are bigger CPU hogs than others) and how you want to distribute your videos (DVD, YouTube, etc.). There are also loads of other considerations (how well it performs in low lighting, whether it has external microphone inputs, etc., etc., etc.).

Please be more specific about your particular needs.

Thank you for your help, i need to edit the video in Adobe premiere and After Effects in order to put them on a DVD (for family) it's not for professional work, and may be sometimes on You tube.

The Canon HF S 200 cost 900 € in Belgium that's the max i can pay. It's an AVCHD, and there are some info about my PCNeed to know how much you can afford to spend for that camcorder also

this is a link for more specifications:

i went this morning to the shop and the responsible told me that it's a very good one, but i don't trust the seller because his aim is to sell his product, that's why I'm asking here, I need more advices and information.

You said: "i need to edit the video in Adobe premiere and After Effects" You don't really need those to create a DVD.

Premiere CS5 is around $800 US and After Effects is $1000 US. Do you have those already? Premiere requires a special graphics card to edit some codecs.

The Canon HF S 200does not have a view finder. You will not be able to see anything on the flip out screen in bright sunlight.

I have Adobe Premiere Element, and after effects I'll have some courses at school I don't know very well this application , that is why I'm planing to buy a camcorder, before having this courses.
What do you recommend to me, for a beginner? a good camcorder that's less than 1000€.
What I need is a good quality image, and facilities to edit with Premiere Element.
 Thank you.
