I would recommend you do a search on "edit commercials" or the like. Its been asked about quite a bit and there is lots of advice just in that search (i just looked). Have fun

  3. Virtual Dub lets you use MPEG's. What are you importing? MPEG2 files?

I use VDub all the time to edit high bitrate MPEG1's before I re-encode them to VCD's. No problem at all.

  4. I can import/edit the mpeg fine in vdub. After I'm done I have to save the file as avi then re-encode it. Is there any way to get around the re-encode?? Because the files I import allready VCD compliant .

    Merge and cut !!

    TMPGenc > File > Mpeg tools > Add > Edit > { } start end

Select "Mpeg 1 Video Cd" from drop down list, also hit correct.

Type name for output, and click run....

    output1.mpeg upto start of add
    output2.mpeg after add (return)

Save out the parts you want, join them back later into one large file without ads.

    Or use MyFlix
