    Hello,
Hope someone can help me! I run a small business and have recently taken on a new contract which involves getting some video footage (circa 4 to 5Gb each time but broken down into approx 8-10 files of varying sizes) from an employee's remote computer to my computer and then from my computer to a customer. I've never had to do anything like this before and am really not sure of the quickest and simplest way of doing this.

We've tried having the employee upload some of the files to FileShareHQ but this takes hours and I then have to download them to edit them and have then been putting them on a memory stick to send to the client. But the customer wants to see the footage almost immediately and does not want to wait for next day delivery by post. So I've also tried uploading the files back up to FileShareHQ but this is not a viable option as it takes too long. And don't want the customer to waste time downloading 10 files.

I've looked at Dropbox and wonder if this is a solution but is the process also slow? I've wondered about videostreaming as in being able to give my customer access to their videos online where they can view them without downloading them (for speed) but also with the option of being able to download and save them. But am not sure of the best option.

    Please help! Cheers, Nic

If they just want to see what it looks like, you could make a lower resolution preview version, say Flash video, which would be a much smaller size.

your best option is to just create a torrent of the files u have converted and seed them back to the customer...depending on the customers speed it wouldnt take long at all to download...plus, your already paying for the net connection so its no cost

just create a torrent using public trackers and send the customer the creeated torrent file and have them load it up whilst your seeding it

i do it all the time

I'd recommend an external hard drive and FedEx - especially if time is important.

It all depends on the available connection bandwith (upload speed!) but maybe setting up a (simple) FTP for your customer would be a better option?

I use this solution often to exchange video's/files of several gigabytes with my contacts.
