When I transfer video from my Canon XL-2 to my computer there are no video problems. To save the heads on the camcorder, I bought a JVC SR-VS30 mini DV deck to transfer video to my computer. However, when I do this, occasionally there are glitches and other disruptions to the video. I put the same tape back into the camcorder and there are no video problems.
Is this a problem with the mini-DV format? The tapes (TDK) I use? Incompatability between the heads of the deck and the heads on the camcorder? An inherent problem of the JVC deck, itself?
Any info would be appreciated.

I would choose "An inherent problem of the JVC deck, itself"
If you had tape issues, you would be seeing pixelation on the monitor output.Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.
