I have looked around and been unable to find the answer so far.
I have a Sony DCR-TRV22 camcorder and am looking at adding an IR light. There are two Sony models I am looking at.
One I have found definitely works with this camera model. The other is what I am not sure about.
The DCR-TRV22 has an Intelligent Accessory Shoe and the Sony HVLIRH2 NightShot Infrared Light states that it will work with this model.
The other light is the Sony HVL-HIRL IR Light which says it works with what is called Active Interface Shoe.
My question is are these two things (Intelligent Accessory Shoe & Active Interface Shoe) completely different?
I don't want to order the HVL-HIRL IR light if it will not work with the DCR-TRV22 and its Intelligent Accessory Shoe.
Thanks

Active Inteligent Shoe (AIS) is a new shoe (16 contacts and a physical smaller size) for Sony camcorders (consumer class) made in the last 4 years. Will not work in combination with a old camcorder with classic shoe like DCR-TRV22. You can`t mount AIS lamp on classic shoe and vice versa is also incompatible.
