  1. Hi there,
    I'm converting k-pax with TMPGEnc.
After checking after a while, the movie gives in fast action kind of horizontal blocked stripes. You can see it also in the preview window.
I tried to change some settings, but i don't know the meaning of them all.
    That' s because i'm a total newbie.
Can anyone tell me how to put the settings as good as possible.
The movie is 352x288 12500 fps
    divx mpeg4 low motion
    i'm using Windows XP.
    thanks in advance
    Stief

  2. i'll take a geuss that it' an interlace problem.

if the original file will load into virtual dub, use dub's de-interlace option.
try either blend, or repeat field 1.

    then frameserve it to tmpeg.

I get the same horizontal "streaks" and these are not on source video. I am converting from DV video to SVCD video using Tmpgenc. I do not notice this when converting from DV video to VCD. I have also noticed while merging files for SVCD I get short audio blanks which I do not get when merging MPEG1 VCD files. SVCD video quality is excellent!
