    hi guys i recently bought a 32" toshiba LCD and i tried to connect it to my pc via VGA but the resolution cant go better then 1024x768. The picture is great but as im using for gaming i need it to be widescreen.
    would having a HDMI cable increase my resolution?

    running on windows 7
    output is a gtx 460

    Using HDMI potentially gives you 1280x720 and 1920x1080 options.
