In Options, Playback....... there is a fullscreen resolution setting. There are no tips, or help files. Wondering if this is for creating a default video size, and not to change your actual screen resolution? I would hope so, but didnt want to try and have my screen get whacky on me.

It just rescales your video.
So if you have a 720 pixel wide video and a 1024 pixel wide monitor you end up with a 1024 wide video and the height is rescaled accordingly in the same ratio as the original video.
Your actual screen resolution does not change.
