personally i tend to lean towards the notion that aliens (from other worlds) have not visited us thus far and that more than likely they will never visit us, though my feelings are governed more by the belief that the distances are too vast rather than the belief that we are the only sentient life in the universe.

having said that, allow me to also share with you guys that i have seen ufo's on 2 separate occasions, both times (spaced years apart) in the same area and both times they had similar appearances. now as i stated i don't think they were extra-terrestrial in origin, just unidentifiable (by me) flying objects.

i recently ran across this story that i would normally dismiss as a hoax or crack pottery if it wasn't for the fact that it's from Reuters:

    http://www.reuters.com/article/idUS166901+15-Sep-2010+PRN20100915

Witness testimony from more than 120 former or retired military personnel points to an ongoing and alarming intervention by unidentified aerial objects at nuclear weapons sites, as recently as 2003. In some cases, several nuclear missiles simultaneously and inexplicably malfunctioned while a disc-shaped object silently hovered nearby. Six former U.S. Air Force officers and one former enlisted man will break their silence about these events at the National Press Club and urge the government to publicly confirm their reality.
i don't know what to think about this.

I personally don't believe we've been visited. HOWEVER I do believe there has to be other intelligent life in the universe.

But truth is often stranger then fiction so who's to say they haven't been here already and we just wouldn't know what to look for?

I'll entertain the idea of ancient aliens, but not modern ones. (i.e., not Roswell, Area 51, etc)
Watch that History Channel mini-series "Ancient Aliens". It's interesting.

Not really sure what happened, no opinion either way. Just open minded.

I believe that there are other intelligent life forms out there but I'm skeptical that we have ever been contacted by them. It's definitely interesting stuff to ponder though.
