Transition problem in Premiere CS4

Hi there,

I can't apply a transition between 2 certain clips. There are several transitions in the timeline already, that work fine. However, between these particular clips it just won't happen. When I drag for example a cross dissolve to the timeline, it only will apply on the second clip. It should be - like any real cross dissolve - on both clips. I hope this screenshot helps to make it clear:

OK, I fixed it by manually changing the transition settings to 'center at cut'. Still strange that I had to do it this way.

i am having the same problem and have changed the transition setting to "Center at Cut", but it still is giving me a very poor transition. do you have any other tips to fix this?
