hello everyone, i have a problem resizing a file to a specific width/height. I normally use Virtualdub to edit and convert my videos but this time it doesnt seem to work. I have also tried numerous other programs and end up with the same results.
The original file is 800x600 size and i would like to resize it to 400x300 but every time i apply the resize filter in Virtualdub the converted XviD file still plays as 800x600 even though properties and Mediainfo show it as 400x300.
I have a screenshot of video properties and mediainfo from my converted file to better explain my problem http://i56.tinypic.com/141jm7q.jpg
any help would be appreciated![]()

I think your player is resizing the video. Look for a setting that causes it to enlarge small videos. Open the file in VirtualDub. Does VirtualDub show it as 800x600 or 400x300?
There are combinations of settings in MPCHC that will force it to open with the same window size as last time and resize the video to that size. That could be what's causing the resize. Make sure AutoZoom is enabled and set to 100% (not Auto -- which causes it to enlarge small frames). And Remember Last Window Size should be disabled.Last edited by jagabo; 24th Sep 2010 at 07:45.
