Hi, I turned on my camcorder today and noticed that it now has light streaks that extend from everything that I am viewing. I thought that it was just the LCD, but found that it is doing the same thing thru the viewfinder. It's almost like sunrays or ghosts. They are only horizontal, not vertical.
We had this happen once before, but we either fixed it or it went away. I hit the reset button, and all other buttons both on the outside and on the LCD touch panel, but nothing fixed it.
So, does anyone know what's wrong, and if so, if I can fix it myself?
Thanks!

I also found out that I get the same issue even when I do not have a tape loaded in the camcorder. So, doesn't that mean that it's not a bad tape, not dirty heads, etc, but something within the camera itself? I've been seeing a lot of references to a recall they had several years ago about the CCD component. Wonder if that is the issue.

 Any ideas?
