mkv2vob

hello , i am using mkv2vob to use the converted file either .mpg since avi seems to not have sound after converted, anyways to use the file in ulead video studio 11 or movie factor 6 although after the application mkv2vob is complete i cant open it in any other program except windows media player to watch it, i even try to use video inspector or mpgp_100 to get the spec on the file and they all say file contains no video data.

Have you tried any other converters? I guess mkv2vob makes a special vob/mpg for the ps3.

I would try xmedia recode, xvid4psp or winff.

Earlier mkv2vob has some sound problems too! Many player and editor fails to detect the audio stream too!
Not sure if this bug is fixed in latest version.

Use your favorite converter, convert MKV them into AVI, maintain same audio+video bit rates/specs,
Open in UVS 11 or Movie Factory6.

ok i will try those appz you mentioned thank you very much for the help ! i have to use ac3 when editing it always keeps sound synced =) and i though only mkv2vob was the only reliable converter for mkv.lol.


oh and i was using the latest version, when i do convert to xvid it has no sound and mpg dont work. i will keep anyone posted on the results with those other appz progress.

UPDATE:
ahh man that xvid4psp5 app looked so cool tons of option like i felt so n00b`d while wondering about all those options, so i picked Xvid ultra/ ac3 640k i am working with the first file labeled Mobile_Suit_Gundam_00_-_01v2_[1280x720_H.264_AAC. at 4.5% i got xvid_encraw.exe encountered a problem and needs to close i will play with the options. nice, it even produced 4.5% i was wondering why even though i chose to encode to xvid the file still produced as a .mkv and so i looked into the encode setting and could not figure out why
