Hello All:
I'm trying to learn to backup my Blu-rays.
I am able to decrypt the Blu-rays, but when I try to shrink DVD's or Blu-Rays, the audio always ends up being slightly out of sync with the video, or the discs just lock up halfway through the movie and will not play to the end.
Of course, 50GB disks are very expensive. The only way I have to correctly play these movies is Power DVD DX 8, and it only lets you play the movies if they are on a Blu-Ray disk, not on a hard drive.
I have a Panasonic Blu-Ray drive. I brought two BD-RE disks, both Panasonic, one 25GB, and one 50GB.
I shrunk and burned a movie onto the 25GB BD-RE, and that played fine with Power DVD DX.
HOWEVER, after only one use, I cannot seem to erase it and use it again. It says it is erased and is zero GB, but new files will not burn on it.
Before I try the 50GB disk for the first time, does anyone know why the 25GB BD-RE seems to not work after only using it once? Again, this is a Panasonic drive, and both the BD-RE's are Panasonic, both the 25GB one and the 50GB one.
THANK YOU,
Lee B.
