  1. I recently put a fresh copy of XP sp3 on my computer. I'll choose a pic as my desktop background and work on or leave the computer. After a short period of time the background will be gone. I don't think its a virus, I have avast, spybot, and malwarebytes on the computer. Suggestions?

    Why don't you go online and download Easeus Todo Backup-it's free. Then invest in an external HD, if you don't already have one. Backup your drives. Then when you have a problem, you can easily restore to a prior working condition. Work smart-not hard. At this point it is too late but, think ahead.

    As asked above, does the background just go black?, is it just going to standby mode? does the background picture come back at all?

  6. Usual this happens when windows is not genuine
    Do you have warning message the windows is not genuine?

  7. I do have the not genuine message. The but my copy is genuine. My copy of windows came from my work. And has been used by me since '06.

    try activate windows from phone
