I have an M4V file that show 2 audio streams in Mediainfo.

a 2 channel stream and an AC3 Stream.

I would like to convert this file into a DVD but using nero I'm not asked which stream I would like to use, it just creates a DVD with the 2 channel stream.

How do I go about creating a DVD using the AC3 that's in the file?

I hope I'm making sense. I'm not a deep expert into this stuff and I just simply want to convert a file into a dvd using the 5.1 AC3 stream instead of the 2 Channel AAC.

Thanks in advance for any direction, info or help.

    First things first

Please, change the extension m4v to mp4.
m4v should only be used for "raw" "MPEG-4" video streams
    (usually, xvid without a container).

    Second:

try demuxing the MP4 file with mp4box (use YAMB if you prefer a GUI for the application).

    Third:

create your DVD with a decent authoring tool, not with Nero.

    Fourth:

    burn your DVDs with ImgBurn.

    Hello El Heggunte,

Thanks for the info. I do have a couple clarifying questions?

    1. Are you saying I should physically change the extension from m4v to mp4? I wasn't clear about that.

    2. Thanks for giving me specific programs to use, but what DVD authoring tool do you recommend? I thought Nero was what most everyone uses.

Thanks very much for your input. I will start with the demuxing and I hope you I have an answer from you about the Dvd authoring software so I can continue.
