Just got this new Home Theatre in a box setup.. and surround sound working. Now question is with camcorder (using a sony mini-dv) and editing on Vegas Pro 9. Is it possible to get 5.1 sound through editing? If so does the project setting need to be set that way under Audio? Or is it during rendering that you save as .ac3 (as I normally would)?
Need some help.. not sure if this is possible with my source of video or not.
thanks

the ac3 5.1 output option will only be present if you set a 5.1 audio project. it will be "fake" 5.1 though - with only 2 input channels it will just duplicate those to the back channels also. --
