Hello folks,
This question has been asked before but almost every question talks about XviD (apologies if I missed that talks about mkv)
So here is the thing. I have 720p and 1080p mkv files encoded in AVC codec. They seem to stutter on my Android tablet (Xoom) but plays well on the laptop. I wonder if this codec offers facility of frame resize without re-encoding. I do not want to spend 2 hours to convert for every movie, I tried it with VidCoder).
Thanks in advance.

Nope.
Have you tried adjust the x264 preset to ultra fast in vidcoder? Under the settings and the video tab. Should be a bit faster encoding but not the best quality then.
You could also try reconvert with something else like freemake video converter, format factory, mediacoder and see if they are a faster than vidcoder.
