  1. After ripping movies in handbrake on my imac to a thumbdrive to play in my pc, the replay stutters badly in quicktime and itunes (mpeg4). I fixed it once by changing the resolution in itunes/quicktime, but now i cannot remember what that resolution should be. What is the proper resolution of the video that I should be using to get the movies to play properly? I have been just using the "normal" setting in handbrake. There is no stutter when I play it on my imac, just the pc, but the pc doesn't stutter when playing movies that have been converted to Windows Media player on the same thumb drive. I would rather not have to reconvert to another format, as it takes forever....thanks.

  2. Quicktime Player under windows is the worst possible media player. Apple probably does this to make Windows look bad. Use a better player like MPCHC.

  4. You can also try VLC and KMPlayer. All of those players have built in readers an splitters for most containers (MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, MPG, TS, etc.) and most common codecs.
