I've just stumbled across this forum and have been very impressed with the level of knowledge I've seen from the participants. I'm hopeful someone can help me out. I am very much a newbie when it comes to DVD authoring. My wife and I have taken on the task of creating a slide show for our son's graduating 8th grade class. Having stuggled with through the job of creating several slide shows with Pinnacles Studio 7 program (including static slides, video, audio and transitions) we tried to burn them onto our DVD+RW disks using our HP DVD100i (firmware upgraded to v1.37) and MyDVD v 3.0. We have a HPPavilion, P4 2.0, 768 of RAM and a 120 Gig hard drive. Yet when we try to burn the MPEG2 files created in Studio 7 (4 different files ranging in duration from 6-38 minutes) we get skips in audio every 3-4 minutes or so at the start of each show, typically cutting out completely after about 6-12 minutes into each show. No other programs running when we do the burn and I did defrag the harddrive before we started. Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong and/or how it can be fixed. I've got parents of 35 kids counting on me to get this right. Help.
