  1. Hi, I am very new at this(downloading Torrents and saving files and playing them), I have successfully downloaded few movies which I have managed to play on windows media player and to copy them on my USB stick and play them on DVD player, but some of them will not open/play with any player, the message that I get from VLC and windows media player is "download DBCodec" I have tried numerous searches all in vein, I don't know what to do and what settings to change or which codecs to download, I have however downloaded the K-Lite codec pack full version and still nothing, I am running on windows XP(if that means anything!!) Please for the love of God, someone help me, I am going insane.

I trust that someone will reply to this post soon, thank you all before hand for any help.

  3. I never heard of DBCodec. Beware that this is a common vector for malware. Convince people to download a "codec" to play a video. The codec is really a trojan.
