Yep, that was the first film i thought of when i saw this post....

I heard about Ronnie James Dio the morning he died, but i can't believe i have not heard about Dennis Hopper before this thread!!!

Man, it sure makes you feel old hearing about all these famous people dieing that you grew up watching and listening to!!

He was definitely a talented, fun and crazy mofo in all his movies and interviews i ever saw him in!!
I don't remember even ever hearing he was sick or had cancer.....
Hopper directed the 1969 counter-culture road movie Easy Rider, which he co-wrote with and starred alongside Peter Fonda. The pair were nominated for a best screenplay Academy Award.
"Dennis introduced me to the world of Pop Art and 'lost' films. We rode the highways of America and changed the way movies were made in Hollywood. I was blessed by his passion and friendship," Fonda told the TMZ website following Hopper's death.
I like how they say near the end of that video, "And as one of the last great hollywood hellraisers"
    LOL!!

My first image of him (when I read the new clip in the store yesterday) was seeing crushed and bloody fingers at freezing degree temporatures on a train. I forget the title. "Manny" I think was his name. Two prisoners escaping on a train. I've never been able to get that image out of my head, and every time I see trains (when they connect) I cringe because that is where his fingers got crushed and amputated.

EDIT: wups, me made a mistake, wrong movie.
this was not the movie.. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089941/
