    Hello,

I have 20 videos (*not encoded and shrinked*) that weights about 5.5GB - Every video is in length of 10 Min.

I would like to upload the videos to YouTube.

How do I need to encode and shrink the videos that will weight eventually total of 500MB?

The quality of the videos ISNT IMPORTANT (But the sound is).

    Nice day!

  2. filesize = bitrate x running time

so you have to add up all the running time of the videos to figure out the bitrate required

the bitrate will be comprised of both audio & video bitrate

you can use a bitrate calculator to help you, megui has one in it's tools menu

    eg. 20 x 10min = 200 min which is 12000 seconds

assuming an audio bitrate of 192kb/s , the video bitrate would be 155kb/s (which is very very low), if you used .mp4 container. That's the average bitrate value you would enter for the videos

If you used a higher audio bitrate, that would subtract from the video bitrate and vice-versa

  4. PDR you gotta tell the person what (simple) application you recommend... :P

  5. I assume that pdr, as I, is interested in quality and therefore he wouldn't use any app for this job because he wouldn't do this job.

If they're for YouTube and if they're in a format supported by YouTube, just upload them as is. They're only going to reencode them anyway to the size they want.

But if you want to help someone, you should try to answer from practical point of view (e.g. in this case recommending a program). I was just gently reminding PDR of that, as he sometimes gives technical responses that newbies can't grasp. (No offence intended at all, PDR!)
