Can anyone help I have a JVC camcorder and I have recored everything in short play (SP) - i am now trying to burn onto a dvd through my computer but it plays back in long play and its making the sound intermitent. i do not have the menu guide to help me and it snot obvious how to convert it when I look in the menu - any suggestions owuld be appreciated. many thanks Fee

First of all the speed of the tape recording has nothing to do with a DVD length, a Standard Play recording is usually 1hr while Long Play is 2hrs. Secondly the length of the video has nothing to do with sound quality, it sounds like a camcorder problem so try cleaning the heads.
Set your camcorder audio to 48kHz and use WinDV to transfer via firewire, if you are using analog to capture then there are more variables.Last edited by MOVIEGEEK; 16th May 2010 at 11:04.
