  1. Hi guys, could u pls suggest me a very easy to use lossless avchd splitter that does not re-conver/encode the splitted video ?

I tried to use : windows movie maker of windows 7, but it wants to save the new splitted file in a new lower encoded video file.

I got also EDIUS 5, but it is to complicated to set up.

I just need something easy that let me set browse through the sony xr550 video file, select the start point , the end poit and cut/trim the part of the file that I want, without losing quality or need to re-convert the file. (like we do with avchd files in camera).

I tried to use DS Mux. It work perfectly. What I mean I can easeally cut/split part of the video out of the main video, but it saves the files as .mkv
My question is : has the new .mkv file lost quality in comparison to the original one (the one non cut/the original file) ?

    Than kyou

  3. Are you sure that the latest videoredo preview/beta wil NOT re-encode the video files when I save the cut video part ?

    Thank you

Probably not, since DS Mux looks like a muxer and not an encoder. If the remuxing occurs very quickly, then you can conclude no re-encoding was done.
