Is HDMI 1.4 better then 1.3? Should I think about switching to the HDMI 1.4 rather then staying with 1.3? What are the advantages with 1.4 over 1.3 or are there any advantages with 1.4?

It has more video bandwidth, but that won't make much difference unless your devices are capable of outputting and displaying them. Take a look at this page, about halfway down for a comparison: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI

Is it better? YES. 1.4 supports ALL the features of 1.3, but with added specific support for many Stereo3D options (as well as other things).
Is it more expensive? MOST LIKELY.
Do you need it? I don't know; what do you want to do with your setup? If you plan on doing anything in Stereo3D (I do), your options would be prone to becoming obsolete with 1.3 much more than with 1.4.
