Capturing video with ps3 and dazzle or something different?

Hi, guys.


I just recently started wanting to record my ps3 gameplay and people keep telling me that I should purchase a dazzle to do this. Does anyone know anything about this dazzle? I seen on ebay that they have them for about $40 USD

I also heard that since I have my ps3 hooked up through hdmi on my hdtv that I'll have to get an "HD dazzle" but I couldn't find any dazzles like that on ebay. I'm not wanting to spend a lot on this just to record a few gameplay videos.


Another thing I'd like to know is - are there any good free programs that let you edit the video and add special little transitions through different game play clips.

dazzle is not considered good hardware/software around here
