Hi, I need help with legal issue using ffmpeg, I have an application which records video in MS ASF and before uploading to our server it uses ffmpeg.exe windows binary to encode asf to mp4, now in this case our application (which spawns process) needs to be LGPL or GPL compliant? do we need to distribute our source as well?
If on our server, if we use ffmpeg to convert incoming files into mp4, is it permitted legally
Note: We have applied and licensed H264 and AAC legally from their respective vendor, the question is not about patent license, question is about GPL/LGPL compliance.

Moving you to our programming section.
Wouldn't it be best to contact ffmpeg directly, http://ffmpeg.org/contact.html ?
