    I have a PHILIPS DVD8421 dvd burner. Will it burn Taiyo Yuden Silver Lacquer dvds? I have always used Verbatim, but I would like to switch over to TY. Are they compatible with my dvd burner?

    Shouldn't be any problem. I've burned TY 8X and 16X silver tops on Sony, Pioneer, LG, Samsung, LiteOn, and probably a few more and never any drive related coasters. I'm not sure if Philips even makes their own burners, but someone here may know the manufacturer.
