How do I get Firefox links to open in Thunderbird when I click on them. They used to work but stopped working in the current versions.

Are you referring to URL addresses contained in email?
Murphy's law taught me everything I know. -
Thunderbird emails may contain a URL which I open in Firefox by clicking the URL in Thunderbird email. That no longer works. I cannot open a URL link in Thunderbird email and launch Firefox.

Make sure Firefox is set as your default browser. Firefox: Options -> Advanced (toolbar) -> General (tab) -> System Defaults -> Always check to see if Firefix is the default browser on startup.

if you right click on the link in t-bird and select "open link in browser" does it?

sounds like jag was on the right track. windows doesn't think you have a browser. try control panel - default programs - and set your default browser. you may need to reboot to have it work.

Firefox was the only browser I had. It's still giving me the attack site warning,so I added Opera and it doesn't give me the warning. Firefox is my default browser and I rebooted and the url email link is still not working. The option to check very time I start Firefox is checked in options. I had googled this problem and there were many opions on how to correct it but none worked. I searched Firefox help and found nothing.

This worked on earlier versions of Firefox/Thunderbird. I wonder would installing older version help?

the latest versions work fine here on win7, vista and xp. i'd uninstall and re-install both programs. installing opera may have caused the problem if it put itself as default browser, but i have firefox, chrome, safari, and i.e. installed, with links still working in t-bird.
