    I have an AVI file that im trying to burn to DVD+R disc,and i'm using Windows DVD Maker.But when i try to burn the file goes 6 min over the 150 min max,on the dvd disc.I have dvd shrink,but im new to this can someone tell me step by step how to shrink my AVI file so it will fit on my DVD+R disc.Thanks in advance.

    USe a better avi to dvd converter like dvd flick.

    I like AVStoDVD for this type of project.

    Basically, any DVD authoring tool that uses arbitrary time values or quality descriptions should be treated with disdain. There is no clearcut off point for quality changes. It is a sliding scale of bitrate and running time and quality, and each piece of video will have different thresholds as to when quality drops noticeably. One of the better all-in-one tools, ConvertXtoDVD, has gone down this path in it's latest version (version 4) and it has made it a useless toy.
