    Do a web search and if you don't find an answer then there probably isn't a code. Many DVD players cannot be unlocked. Consumers just assume that all models can be unlocked, but that's actually not correct.

    Oh right, thank you for that.

    I was told that if there was not a code that something could be done by 'chipping' the recorder.

    Is this incorrect?
